Hutch Make-Over

It's amazing what a little paint can do to a piece of furniture! I came across this adorable little hutch at a yard sale. It was bright orange (cute but not in my color pallet), so I decided to paint it.

First, I took off the doors and hardware and gave the entire thing a good sanding with 320 grit sandpaper.

It had several layers of paint so after using the heavy grit sandpaper, I also went over it again with 120 grit to make it smooth.

I used a high density-foam roller to apply the new paint. It makes the paint go on really smoothly, for a beautiful finish.

I chose a medium grey for the outside of the cabinet, and a lighter grey for the inside - I like the contrast. Both were left-over paint that I had from previous projects.

I found these cute little nobs at Hobby Lobby for $3 each.

And vuala! It's so cute and took no time at all! I love it! This piece will be for sale in the May Junk In The Trunk Vintage Market. Come check out our Reimagined booth!
