DIY Pillows from Drapes

As some of you might know, I work at Pottery Barn part-time. So as you could imagine, I'm always looking at all of the beautiful things and wondering how I can use them in my house. I found these beautiful drapes that I just loved the fabric. I thought..."hmmm these would make some beautiful pillows! And for a fraction of the price of buying actual pillow covers."

They are the Wheaton Stripe Drape in Natural.

I simply cut off the grommets, then measure and cut the fabric into 20 inch squares (to make 18 inch pillows)

Next, I sewed on the zippers and the remaining three sides to create the pillow cover. Easy!

I made six pillow covers, one for each chair even though my husband thinks I have a pillow problem. He jokingly said the other night when we were sitting down to dinner, "Are they called throw pillows because husbands are constantly throwing them out of the way?"

Yes dear, I believe so.
